Cultural Commitment
AIEI Nights is committed to embedding Aboriginal Australian cultural recognition as foundational programming. Every event features 3 Australian and Aboriginal artists as main acts — not as supporting placement, but as headlining position of the evening. This signals that Australian and Aboriginal artistic excellence anchors the AIEI Nights program rather than being adjacent to it.
Each event opens with a formal Welcome to Country performance delivered by a traditional custodian of the lands on which the event is held. For Sydney, this is delivered by an Eora Nation custodian.
Artist selection and cultural programming are developed in consultation with Indigenous cultural advisors, with respectful engagement of Aboriginal artist management representatives. AIEI Nights' cultural programming reflects an organisational commitment that extends across all four cities in the 2026-2027 program.
